THE SECOND OCEANIA APOSTOLIC CONGRESS ON MERCY

« Divine Mercy at the heart of God’s word »

The last Oceanian Apostolic Congress on Mercy held in Apia, Samoa (October 1-5 th) was great. Archbishop Alapati Mataeliga presided this important step for a greater awareness and motivation of the Divine Mercy at the service of the mission of the Church in Oceania : talks, testimonies, procession at the new Shrine of the Divine Mercy on the top of the samoan mountains. Many bishops (from Fiji, Pago-Pago, Australia, Tonga – president of the oceanian bishops conference) and national committees from Oceania were present and could meet with one another. We got beautiful testimonies, for example by the Archbishop of Suva or by the youth from Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) : info document - JPEG - 90.2 ko ° the Divine Mercy, it is God reacting to our sufferings to relieve and heal us in our history ;

° Helen, a girl from PNG, who founded Journey of Mercy, told us how her group is visiting the suburbs and how they save poor, drug-addicts and depraved people. Many of them entered her movement after conversion. Some of them came with her to OACOM II.

Next continental Congresses after WACOM III will be held in Auckland (OACOM III - 2016), Jakarta (AACOM III - 2015), Los Angeles (NACOM II - 2015).
