DIVINE MERCY AUSTRALIA
In November 2009, over 30 lay and religious Australian Divine Mercy co-ordinators gathered together, for the first time, to meet with Fr Patrice Chocholski, General Secretary WACOM, and to discuss the possibility of holding an Australian Divine Mercy conference. The co-ordinators travelled from as far as Queensland, Victoria, and even New Zealand. Every Bishop in Australia was invited to this gathering but it unfortunately coincided with the Australian Bishop’s Conference and they were unable to attend or meet with Fr Patrice. The co-ordinators were however encouraged by some strong messages of support from various Bishops around Australia. Many parishes in Australia now celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday including St Mary’s Cathedral Sydney.
